There's no honest flat price for flooring, because no two projects are the same. Your total depends on the material you choose, the square footage, whether existing flooring has to be removed and hauled away, the condition of the subfloor, and installation details like stairs, transitions, patterns, and baseboards. The most accurate way to know your number is a free in-person estimate — we measure the space, look at what's actually there, and give you itemized pricing for your project instead of a guess.

The right floor comes down to how you live in the space. We look at the room itself, foot traffic, children and pets, moisture exposure, how much maintenance you want to take on, the look you're after, and your budget. From there we help you weigh options like luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, tile, and carpet, and explain the trade-offs of each in plain language so you can make the call with confidence.

Arizona has its own conditions — long stretches of heat, fine dust, dry air with monsoon humidity swings, and homes that see a lot of indoor traffic. Luxury vinyl plank is popular here because it's durable, waterproof, and easy to keep clean. Tile stays cool underfoot and handles entryways and wet areas well. Hardwood (especially engineered) still looks beautiful in the right rooms, and carpet is hard to beat in bedrooms, theater rooms, and anywhere comfort and sound matter. No single material is best for every home — we match the material to the room and to how you actually live.

Sometimes, yes. It depends on what's currently down, its condition, how flat and sound it is, the added height at doors and transitions, and what the new flooring manufacturer requires for a valid installation. Some surfaces make a fine substrate; others need to come up. We evaluate the existing floor first and then recommend the installation method that will hold up long-term rather than the one that's simply fastest.

A little prep goes a long way. Before install day, clear personal items, breakables, electronics, closet contents, and anything else from the floors in the work areas, and put away valuables. Make sure our crew can get to the space and park nearby, and plan for pets to be somewhere comfortable and away from the work. Our team handles standard furniture. If your project has specific requirements — appliance disconnects, oversized pieces, or access limitations — we'll tell you well before installation begins.

Subfloor prep is the part nobody sees and everybody feels. An uneven or damaged subfloor can lead to hollow spots, movement, flexing seams, cracked tile, visible dips, and premature wear, no matter how good the flooring is. When prep is needed, we handle it — grinding high spots, patching, removing old adhesive or thinset, repairing damaged areas, and self-leveling where it's called for — so the finished floor sits flat and performs the way it should.

Timelines vary with square footage, material, how much demolition and removal is involved, the amount of subfloor prep, the layout, and the overall complexity of the job. As a rough guide, a single room is often quick, while a whole-home installation takes several days, and tile can take longer because of setting and grout cure times. We'll walk you through a realistic schedule for your specific project before work starts, and we'd rather set an honest expectation than promise a day we can't hit.

Many homeowners do. It depends on the size and type of the project — how much of the home we're working in at once, noise from cutting and demolition, dust during removal and prep, adhesive odors, and whether rooms you need daily will be off limits. We work in a contained, organized way and clean up as we go. Tell us about your household during the estimate and we'll be straight with you about what to expect day by day.

It depends on our current availability, how quickly your material can be sourced, the size of the project, and how much prep is required. If you have a deadline in mind — a move-in date, an event, a tenant turnover, or a business reopening — reach out early so we can plan around it. Smaller jobs can often be fit in sooner than larger whole-home or commercial projects.

Yes. When it's part of your project, we handle floor removal for materials like carpet, tile, laminate, and glued-down vinyl, along with the debris haul-away. Requirements differ from job to job — some removals are straightforward, others involve stubborn adhesive or thinset — so we scope removal during the estimate and include it in your project pricing.

Removal pricing depends on what's being removed, the square footage, how it was installed, whether adhesive or mortar has to come up, the difficulty of access, the condition of the subfloor underneath, and the haul-away involved. Pulling carpet is very different from breaking out mortar-set tile. Removal is quoted as part of your overall project estimate so you can see exactly what it adds.

It's simple and there's no pressure. We come out, look at the space, take accurate measurements, check the condition of the existing floor and subfloor, and talk through what you want the room to feel like. We'll go over material options, removal and prep needs, transitions and baseboards, and then give you an estimate based on your actual project. You'll get straight answers and a clear number — not a sales pitch.

Yes. We're installers, not a showroom, but 20+ years on job sites means we know how these materials actually hold up in Arizona homes and businesses. We'll explain the practical differences between products, point you toward options that suit the room's durability, appearance, maintenance, and budget requirements, and help you avoid choices that look great in a photo but won't last in your space.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is a waterproof, wood-look product that's highly scratch and dent resistant, easy to clean, comfortable underfoot, and works almost anywhere in a home — including kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms. Hardwood offers real wood character and can be refinished over its life, but it's more sensitive to moisture and better suited to living areas and bedrooms than wet rooms. Tile is the most water and heat resistant of the group and extremely durable, with a harder, cooler surface that's ideal for entries, bathrooms, showers, and high-traffic areas. Carpet is the most comfortable and quietest option, warm underfoot and great in bedrooms, theater rooms, and offices, though it needs more regular cleaning and isn't a fit for wet areas. In short: LVP for all-around practicality, hardwood for character, tile for toughness and moisture, carpet for comfort.

Common signs include floors that feel uneven or bouncy, visible dips or high spots, squeaks and movement, cracked tile or grout, gaps and lifting seams, leftover adhesive or thinset from a previous floor, cracks in a concrete slab, moisture staining, or noticeable height differences between rooms. Some issues only show up once the old flooring comes out. We evaluate the existing surface before installation and tell you what prep, if any, your project needs.
